Southampton

My flight arrived in London at 10am, half an hour late after making crazy turns over the English countryside.  I have to say having a seat that lays flat is a much nicer way to take an International flight.  Ian met me at Heathrow and we used the underground connection to get to the bus station.

The bus trip was horrible. Very stop start and I was starting to feel sick.  The bus had free wireless so that was interesting.

We checked into The Elizabeth House Hotel, which was  once two Victorian homes and headed off down the street to find a pub.  The first one we found was only just adequate and Ian wasn't too happy with the cool, not cold, beer.  On a recommendation, we heading off to the Common and found a old pub where we had dinner.  As you can see from all the cars, it's popular with the locals... and the beer is cold.
